Who I am
Hello, and welcome to Attempts (2.0). My name is Stephen Saperstein Frug, and I am a writer and occasional photographer who lives in Ithaca, New York.
I am the author and illustrator of a graphic novel, Happenstance, which you can read for free online here, or which you an purchase a paper copy of here, or on Amazon.
I am also the author of Retcon: A Mosaic Story in Three Movements, which is being published monhtly starting March, 2023 (buy at Amazon • Smashwords • Barnes & Noble • Kobo • My personal web site).
And, of course, I am the author of this Substack newsletter.
What is Attempts?
Attempts is a newsletter which publishes essays and bricolage (roughly alternating weeks) on Thursday afternoons. See the introductory post here for that same point made at much greater length and with more footnotes.
